“Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.” — Oscar Wilde
“Never apologize for being yourself.” – Paulo Coelho
I am obliged to say, I am the person I should’ve been a long time ago and it took me far too long to embrace ME! What you see is what you get, transparency, and I LOVE IT! Not that I wasn’t authentic, my stronghold was, some opinions of others thought I was “too real” which had me questioning my authentic self. However, I choose to be authentic and it is true FREEDOM being ME.
God made us and we are “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.” Choose to be authentic – the-best-version-of-yourself! Aim to be the best YOU possible, nothing more nothing less! There is no sincere comfort between who you really are and who you pretend to be. Be yourself and present your authentic self to the world. No one can represent you like you can. Don’t be afraid of becoming the person God has created you to be in life because of what other people would think of you. Walk in your confidence, walk in it, and allow God to lead you. Make the most of who you really are. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. No one is perfect, however, always be genuine. Be who you are, love who you are, and others will too. Say good-bye to people pleasing.
Give yourself permission to show up and be real, to be honest and let your true self be seen. When you’re Authentically YOU, people want to be around you. Be authentic, be real, be genuine, be yourself, it is FREEDOM, there is nothing more beautiful! Cultivate what’s inside you. Blossom, Grow, Expand, Evolve...Live the life that you have been given; being Authentically YOU and not what others may have labeled or defined you to be or the world trying to make you everybody else. You need not worry about the opinions of others. What is God calling you to do? Have courage, audacity and move forward.
Authentically YOU and your innate character don’t just “talk the talk,” you also “walk the walk.” Back up your positive, empowering words with actions that benefit yourself and others. Be true to yourself and do what you say you’re going to do. Say and do the things you actually believe, listen to your life and the messages your life is sending you.
Authentically YOU think deep and generate thought power from within, and transpose it outward to add value to the lives of others. Be mindful of your thoughts about yourself. Be careful of how your actions influence you and others. Be intentional about your authenticity. No matter what happens always be YOU!
Questions to Ponder:
What would it look like to be authentically YOU in every situation?
What are you afraid will happen if you show people the real you?
