“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” – Walt Disney
“Confidence, like art, never comes from having all the answers; it comes from being open to all the questions.” – Earl Gray Stevens
Confidence is the cornerstone of leadership. If you don’t believe in yourself, how can others believe in you? Once you have confidence in yourself, you’ll be amazed what you can accomplish.
Maybe you grew up hearing that whatever you did wasn’t good enough, now as an adult you are trying to cultivate a positive self-image. Could it be that you were criticized no matter what you did or how hard you tried, this could make it difficult to feel confident and comfortable and can rob your confidence.
It could be challenging to motivate yourself to want more, strive for more, and imagine that you deserve more when false narratives replay in your mind. These negative thoughts and scenarios can rob your confidence.
It’s no secret that people in media are packaged and airbrushed into unrealistic levels of beauty and problem free lives. It’s an epidemic that’s only getting worse. Maybe you find yourself comparing or competing, this wasted time and energy can rob your confidence.
Doubt can rob your confidence, move you into fear and keep you stuck feeling helpless and hopeless. Circumstances like these could make you forget about your COURAGE which can be utilized at any time to help you reclaim your confidence.
RECLAIM YOUR CONFIDENCE
Have you given someone or something your power? There is POWER in YOU! Have you surrendered your authority, which robs your confidence? It is time to RECLAIM IT! Give yourself permission to take your POWER BACK; nothing can hold you back without your permission. No one but you is stopping you from achieving what you want to accomplish. Life is too short and too precious to waste. The time is NOW to identify the areas in which you doubt yourself and remove those obstacles.
Push through self-limiting beliefs, think back as a child when you believed you could conquer the world, restore your enthusiasm and natural inclinations to dream big.
Be positive, because the way you talk to yourself influences your subconscious response to it. When you see things as a challenge rather than a problem, you’ll focus on solutions and not the problem and see the problem as an opportunity for growth.
